What are rock/paint chips
- Rock chips happen when small stones or debris strike your vehicle at speed, breaking through the paint layers. Even tiny rocks can cause damage because of the force created while driving.
- Rock chips usually only occur in the panels facing towards the front like mirror caps, bumper, the front of the hood, and edges around your windshield.
- Paint chips are usually caused from things hitting your vehicle that chips the paint
